Following a challenging workout your muscles will be damaged and fatigued. Though this is part of the natural process of growth you do not want excessive muscle stiffness and soreness to impede your next workout. A short comprehensive stretch, paying attention to the muscles that were worked the hardest can help to mitigate muscle soreness and make sure you are ready for your next workout or activity.
